Gel polish on fingernails and toenails in Nha Trang

The usual process
- 1 Shape the nails with a file, no heavy cuticle cutting
- 2 Trim the cuticles and clean the nail surface
- 3 A base coat, cured under the lamp for 30 to 60 seconds
- 4 Two colour layers, each cured on its own
- 5 A top coat, cured longer so the surface hardens
- 6 Wipe clean and check the nail edges and the underside
What to ask before it starts
- Do not pry gel off: take it off with acetone soaked for 10 to 15 minutes, lifting the colour layer, not the nail layer
- Avoid hot water for the first 2 hours after the colour goes on so the gel base does not shrink
- A gel set that lasts is usually about the base coat and how the free edge is sealed, not about the price of the colour

Does gel polish make nails thin?
Thinning comes from filing and prying, not from the colour. Over-filing when old gel is removed takes away surface cells and leaves the nail white and soft for a while; new growth comes back normal.
Why does the same colour last differently at two salons?
A weak lamp, a base coat that is too thin, an unsealed free edge, and nail oil still on the surface when the colour goes on. Those four decide how long it lasts more than the price does.
