Nail care, cuticle work, gel and acrylic overlays in Nha Trang
Nail care is the base of every service: shaping, cuticle work, cleaning. Gel and acrylic overlays add thickness and build a new shape.
Usual time: 30 to 60 minutes for nail care, 90 to 150 for an overlay.
The usual process
- 1 Soften with water and shape the nails
- 2 Cuticles trimmed with tools that are separate for each customer
- 3 Lightly buff the nail surface so the base adheres
- 4 Build the shape: overlay gel, gel polish, acrylic, gel
- 5 Check the outline and polish the underside
What to ask before it starts
- Cuticle tools must be separate per customer, or the blade tip changed
- Metal tools are sterilised in a pressure steamer, not wiped with alcohol on the way past
- If a cuticle bleeds, the salon stops and sanitises both the tools and your hand

Frequently asked questions
Is nail care still needed once you have gel?
Yes. Gel only lasts on a clean, dry nail. Care every 2 to 3 weeks is why some sets run a full three weeks and others lift after five days.
What is the difference between a gel overlay and acrylic?
An overlay in gel gives a natural, thin and flexible shape; acrylic is harder, builds length faster and feels heavier. No salon in the directory publishes overlay prices, so this page gives no number for those two items.
